Organization Overview
Plymouth Housing Group is a non-profit housing organization with 160+ employees and an annual operating budget of over $21 million. Our mission is to eliminate homelessness and its causes by preserving, developing and operating safe, quality, supportive housing and by providing homeless adults with opportunities to stabilize and improve their lives.
Plymouth owns and operates 13 apartment buildings in the downtown Seattle corridor, providing permanent homes to over 1,000 people. For the most part, our residents are the most challenged homeless people in our community?those struggling with one or more disabilities such as mental illness, chemical dependency, severe medical and physical disabilities, HIV/AIDS, and the effects of aging and poverty. An additional 1,300 low-income individuals are served through Plymouth's Shelter Plus Care program, which provides housing subsidies for homeless disabled individuals and families in apartments throughout King County.
A recent study showed that Plymouth's housing and case management services dramatically improved the health and well-being of a study group of Plymouth residents, decreasing public healthcare costs by an average of $62,000 per person. In xxxx, Plymouth earned its third consecutive 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America's premier charity evaluator. Plymouth maintains active partnerships in neighborhood, city and regional improvement efforts. We prize our positive relationships with neighbors, business, and government.
Plymouth is committed to sustainability and efficient use of financial resources. Our recently developed Pat Williams Apartments is Washington State's first affordable housing project to earn LEED platinum certification.
