I'm Lauren, 28, originally from Berkeley, CA. I've been in San Francisco for the past four years attending medical school at UCSF. I will be moving up to Seattle in early June to start family medicine residency at Swedish Cherry Hill, so a June 1 start date is ideal. My price range is $500-$900/month. A blurb about me--having grown up in the wacky but nurturing bubble of Berkeley, I studied history as an undergraduate at Yale, then spent time living and working abroad in Peru and other Latin American countries before coming home to the Bay Area for medical school. I am interested in preventative medicine and public health. I thrive on diversity, new foods, hikes with gorgeous views and a tinge of spontaneity. To stay sane, I run, cook wholesome food, soak up sun on my deck, and get friends together over a glass of wine or Friday night dinner party. My kitchen pull-up bar will be coming along to pass time waiting for the tea kettle. In a living situation, I value clean kitchen counters, clear communication, a tidy common area--I keep my mess to my own room!--and an effort to respect each roommate's "deal-breaker" (i.e. splotches on the stove, hair in the shower, whatever). I've lived in the same house in SF for the past four years with three other roommates. One of my favorite aspects of living here has been how we all contribute to make it a home, whether through watering the houseplants or installing bike hooks in the garage.
